WITH RENOWNED DELAWARE VALLEY ARTISTS

Camden, NJ…January 27, 2007…Beginning today, January 27th and running
through February and March, the Gordon Theater, Stedman Gallery will host FREE
jazz performances and workshops led by some of the Delaware Valley’s most
renowned artists. Every Saturday afternoon from 1 pm to 4 pm people of all ages
can stroll into the Stedman Gallery, inside the Gordon Theater at 3rd &
Pearl Street and get up close and personal to artists you may only get the opportunity
to see in a jazz club or big stage.

Jan. 27th: Legendary saxophonist Sam Reed : HISTORY OF LATIN JAZZ concert and
workshop
Feb 3rd: Bob Perkins (WRTI Radio Host) and a trio: HISTORY OF PHILLY JAZZ
Feb. 10th : Jazz Tap Dancer Brinae Ali: BEATS 2 YA FEET - tap dancing as a percussive
instrument
Feb. 17th : The John Coley Trio: HISTORY OF R&B AND ITS JAZZ ROOTS
Feb. 24th: Spoken Word Artist Lamont "Napalm" Dixon: POETRY &
JAZZ
March 3rd: Tony Wyatt Trio: JAZZ DRUMZ: THE DRUMBEAT IS THE HEARTBEAT
March 10th : Elliott Levin Trio: THE SAXOPHONE AND JAZZ
March 17th : Vocalist Sherry Wilson Butler: JAZZ, JAM AND JELLY VOCAL WORKSHOP
March 24th: Lucky Thompson Trio: ORIGIN OF HARD BOB
March 31st: Eric Mintel Quartet: THE DAVE BRUBECK STORY
The Free afternoon jazz performances are part of the GORDON THEATER JAZZ FESTIVAL
which also includes ticketed evening performances by saxophonist MIGUEL ZENON
(Jan. 27th), pianist ROBERT GLASPER (Feb. 24th) and trumpeter TERENCE BLANCHARD
(March 31st). , Ticket prices range from $12 to $26.
