THE 5TH ANNUAL WEST OAK LANE JAZZ & ARTS FESTIVAL

May 7, 2008, Philadelphia, PA, The Ogontz Avenue Revitalization Corporation (OARC) will hold a PRESS CONFERENCE ON TUESDAY, MAY 20th AT 10AM AT SADIKI'S, 7152 OGONTZ AVENUE, PHILADELPHIA to announce the details of the 5TH ANNUAL WEST OAK LANE JAZZ & ARTS FESTIVAL, scheduled for June 20, 21, and 22, 2008 on
the 7100 to 7400 blocks of Ogontz Avenue in Northwest Philadelphia.
Four outdoor stages will feature over 55 bands, including THE O'JAYS, ASHFORD & SIMPSON, MANDRILL, WAR, THE BENNY GOLSON QUARTET, THE WHISPERS, PIECES OF A DREAM, and KEVIN EUBANKS. An Art Pavilion will feature renowned Visual Artists CHARLES BIBBS, PAUL GOODNIGHT, PONCHO BROWN, and ADRIENNE MILLS. Over 70 Arts and Crafts Exhibitors will line the streets along with over 15 food vendors. All outdoor events are FREE.
Also
new this year, JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION ACTIVITIES will take place during
the festival weekend at various destinations in the nearby historic
Germantown section of Philadelphia with storytelling, children's
activities, music and dramatic performances, and costumed interpreters
to guide visitors. FREE shuttle from Ogontz Avenue and Washington Lane
(on festival grounds) to historic destinations. Contact
